
How to Wear a Safety Harness
If you're wondering how to wear a safety harness, don't worry! We'll get you secure in no time.
Step One: Inspect and Don Your Harness
- Conduct a visual inspection to make sure that the harness isn't twisted and the straps aren't tangled. Use the arm and leg loops provided to put on your harness.
Step Two: Connect Your Chest Buckle
- Connect your chest buckle using the buckle provided.
Step Three: Connect Your Leg Buckles
- After sliding your legs through the leg loops, use the buckles provided to secure the leg straps.
Step Four: Check the D Ring
- Always make sure that you check the placement of the D ring on the harness! The D ring should sit in the middle of your shoulder blades.
Step Five: Position Your Chest Strap
- Ensure that you position your chest strap approximately six inches below your shoulders.
Step Six: Position Your Leg Straps
- For an optimal fit, you should be able to fit your hand between the harness webbing and your leg, whilst feeling a light squeeze on your fingers.
