Monday 13th May – Friday 17th May 2024 is No Falls Week.

No Falls Week 2024

Here at Safety Harness Direct, we are passionate about height safety, and we're excited to be supporting the first ever No Falls Week!

What is No Falls Week?

Founded by the No Falls Foundation (the first and only UK-based charity for working at height), No Falls Week is a powerful campaign that's dedicated to promoting safe working at height. The aim of No Falls Week is to raise awareness about the importance of safety when working at height.

Whether you work in construction, manufacturing, agriculture, or another industry that requires working at height, No Falls Week aims to ensure you're equipped with all of the knowledge, tools and inspiration you need to work safely at height and prevent falls before they occur.

Why is No Falls Week important?

Safety should always be your primary concern when working at height. You might think that a fall from height will never affect you, but here are some statistics from the Health and Safety Executive about falls from height last year (2022/2023):

Falls from height statistics:

  • 40 people lost their lives due to a fall from height
  • More than 5,000 people were injured due to a fall from height at work
  • Falls from height were responsible for 30% of all workplace deaths.

Get involved this No Falls Week

Employers can get involved in No Falls Week by organising activities that are tailored to their specific industry to help raise awareness among employees about height safety. Examples include workshops, safety demonstrations, handing out information materials, and hosting talks.
